Campus construction & facility updates
HVAC/Chiller Issues
With high temperatures in the Denver forecast this week, please be aware that the Auraria Campus is experiencing widespread HVAC and chiller problems affecting most classroom buildings and the Administration Building. AHEC is working to address the issues and identify a timeline to resolve them. Employees are encouraged to discuss any concerns or alternate work arrangements with their managers, and to contact Facilities for building-specific inquiries or needs.
Student Housing Update
MSU Denver is taking the next step toward its first on-campus student housing project, with construction site mobilization starting July 21; this means the campus community will start to see fencing go up, contractor trailers positioned and the site secured.
Additionally, the 11th Street meters between Auraria Parkway and Walnut street will be permanently closed, as will one metered space on the southeast corner of Walnut and 11th. No street closures are expected in the near term.
